From Australia, Robyn and her friends successfully completed our 2D/1N Mount Kinabalu Walk the Torq challenge!

On our Standard Climb 2D1N from Kinabalu National Park, the 3 friends ascended the summit trail of Mount Kinabalu to reach the Laban Rata accommodation compound to rest after an arduous few hours of uphill climbing. The average time, for a climber of average fitness, to climb from Timpohon Gate to the Laban Rata accommodation compound is about 5 hours.

Upon arriving at Moutain Torq’s Pendant Hut accommodation, a briefing was delivered for Robyn and her friends by one of the experienced via Ferrata trainers, to discuss the safety procedures they need to be aware of, when they complete the Walk the Torq via Ferrata activity on the 2nd day.

It’s an adventure that gives people confidence in themselves; that they can do more than they thought possible. After a 2D1N challenge like this, Robyn and her friends agreed that it was ‘fantastic to have the transport waiting and feel so well looked after & supported’. All of our packages include transport logistics between Kinabalu National Park Headquarters and your Kota Kinabalu accommodation. The last thing you’ll want to do when back at Timpohon Gate, is organize public bus transport, or wait any longer than you have to!
