The rule of scuba diving and mountain climbing, is to wait 12 hours before climbing if you’ve gone for a single dive!

This is a general rule, which our Sabah Travel Centre experts know very well, and will ensure that our clients adhere to it for their own safety.

Malcolm Drew, from Canada (pictured, right) arranged a couple days of scuba diving at our premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre, which we suggested he experience before he attempted the Mount Kinabalu climbing challenge.

Because Malcolm had full days of diving repeatedly, we also reminded him of the SAFE diving protocols to wait 18 hours before flying or going to high altitudes (300m). He also decided to give himself the extra chance to complete the advanced Low’s Peak circuit via Ferrata adventure activity by choosing our 3D2N package. He easily climbed to Low’s Peak and descended the worlds’ highest via Ferrata!
