It’s Downbelow’s priority, to ensure safety of clients on any of our mountain climbing packages on Mount Kinabalu!

Meredith from the States has been informed of the mandatory law: all climbers from Timpohon Gate, or along the Mesilau trail to Low’s Peak, must have an experienced and licensed mountain guide!

She meets her private guide Jolis, who is from the local area and very experienced in the natural environment – in other words one of the best for the task of overseeing the health and safety of climbers!

Mountain guides are professionals in their own field, as they are required to renew their guiding license, just as with PADI Instructors of our premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre. Meredith appreciates the safety concerns of both her experience climbing Mount Kinabalu (particularly during her descent on the Guinness World Record Low’s Peak via Ferrata), as well as being under the supervision of one of our dedicated PADI Instructors during the dive training for her PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (…especially when Meredith was close to 30m depth to complete the skills of her deep dive!)

Experts of our Sabah Travel Centre insist upon the highest standards in safety measurements to be included in our various programs. Discuss with one of our friendly and helpful experts about the adventure experiences in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah that interest you!
