Downbelow Travel Centre programs are soon to welcome back Lows Peak summit to the mountain climbing itineraries!
Mount Kinabalu’s summit climb from Laban Rata to the Lows Peak has been closed since the June earthquake; and during which, specialised inspections to ensure climbers’ safety have been conducted. Since September, our guests have climbed as far as Laban Rata at 3,272.7m above sea level (and still the highest accessible point in Sabah!), on our 1 day ‘Non Summit Climb’ package and 2D1N via Ferrata ‘teaser’. Come December, new trails in development now will be opening to offer climbers even more choice to reach the Lows’ Peak at 4,095.2m altitude than the previous single route along the Timpohon trail.
Get more information and book a program with our travel experts to climb Sabah’s national landmark and toughest challenge, Mount Kinabalu!
